This research work was carried out in the clinical analysis laboratory Servicios de Referencia in the city of Xalapa Veracruz, where the isolations of genital Mycoplasmas were carried out from patients who came to this laboratory (external patient) or from basic laboratories that do not perform the test and sent their samples to this laboratory (maquila service), therefore it has a representative population from the region of Xalapa and its surroundings. The intention of this work is to address the problem of resistance to antibiotics established for the treatment of Mycoplasma hominis and Ureaplasma urealyticum in people living in the city of Xalapa, Veracruz. Through this work it is possible to know the behavior of these pathogens and establish a background regarding the incidence of genital mycoplasmas in the population, the age range and gender with greater predominance, as well as the effectiveness of antibiotics, in order to administer the appropriate treatment.
