Life can change in an instant. For 18-year-old Sapphire, several of those instances seemed to happen at once. One minute she is going to town with her mother to pick up last-minute items for her coming-of-age ceremony in the Faith of the Attuned. The next she is freed as her mother dies unexpectedly, giving her the opportunity to escape the cult and its twisted leader.
