Suzanne Sheran is an American writer and artist whose creations showcase her love of wordplay, mischief and animals. In addition to authoring children's books, she is a professional dog portraitist (worksofarfportraits.com) who has also been commissioned to paint the occasional pet chicken or goat, but no gnus (yet). Suzanne is a former creative in the product development world where she sharpened her wit coming up with punny names and concepts for kids products. Suzanne holds a degree in English Literature from the University of Michigan and a fine arts degree from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. She received her Master's degree in Art Education from Queens College which culminated in a thesis exploring visual literacy and the art of the picture book. When not writing or painting pictures of dogs she mostly is just drinking coffee. She lives in the New York suburb of Huntington with her husband, their three daughters and two dogs.
