Richard Deaton Sr. retired as a Chemical worker in the Phosphate industry. Spent nine years as a Deputy Sheriff and he is also a U.S. Army Disabled Veteran. Richard and his wife Cindy, have three children and nine grandchildren. They reside in Starke, Florida. This is his first childrens book.
